Some Common Questions:

How do I learn to dance?
Dancing becomes easy and fun the moment you begin lessons with one of our friendly dance experts.

Will it take long?
You will be able to begin dancing after your first lesson. The length of your training depends upon how many
styles you would like to learn and how proficient you would like to become in each dance.

Are your teaching methods difficult?
Not at all. We are famous for making learning to dance fun and easy. We teach simple basic movements
from which new combinations are derived.

How much do lessons cost?
It usually depends on a number of factors; how proficient you want to be; which style you want to learn; the
number of days and weeks in your dance schedule, etc.  Your instructor will recommend the most suitable
program so you have better knowledge to make an informed choice.  For a price list, see our
Fees page.

Can I learn the latest and most popular steps?
You can learn the most popular steps out there.
Our instructors are always keying into the new styles and steps and introducing them in class.

How qualified will my instructor be?
All of our dance experts are experienced in their dance discipline.  All have experience teaching and most
have college level certifications.  Rest assured the teachers selected for you are the best in the business.

What’s the benefit of taking dance lessons?
Dancing is the first line of social activity. Good dancing is a lifetime investment in fun, poise, confidence,
improved personality and new friends. It is also a superb physical conditioner.

“UDA is absolutely A-1 !  The fact that
you give the kids a way to do homework
or get on the computer between classes
is great. My daughters instructor was the
best.  He was very patient with all the
students and gave individual attention to
everyone.  He taught them and pushed
them but was also very fun.   My
daughter really progressed through the
year.  We have had a very professional
and enjoyable experience.”

What are the studio closings?
Please refer to the twitter block at the top of the home page (for
emergency closings info)
!   For the regular schedule of open days
and
closed days, it will be stated on the events calendar on the
News page
.  Otherwise, you can assume we are open (unless
weather influences closings - see below).  There are many holidays
that we stay open for. We do not always follow the school calendars!

How do I know if there is a class when it snows?
See the top of home page of this website, first - look for a specific
statement declaring the studio open or closed.  If this does not
exist, then Call the studio 1 hour prior to your class time to see if we
are closed. Sometimes morning classes are cancelled and by
afternoon the weather and roads have cleared, and visa versa.

When Can Parents Watch?
Parents can watch anytime through the studio viewing windows.
We do ask that you
do NOT enter the class while it is being
conducted
as this tends to be a distraction for the students and
instructors.

When is the Show/Recital?
The show is usually the third weekend in June.   More details on the
recital can be found on the
recital page

If No One is in the Office and I Have a Question, What Should I Do?
Call the studio and leave a message or write your question on a
piece of paper, include name and phone # and slide it under the
office door. We will call you.
