3. Hand Washing
  • Please bring your dancer 5 minutes before class starts so that they can wash their hands before class begins.
4. Face Coverage
  • Instructors, Staff and students are required to wear masks/facial coverings. If you do not have one, we will provide one for you.
5. Cleaning
  •  There will be rigorous cleaning and sanitation of the common surfaces daily. (including but not limited to: ballet bars, door knobs, floors, light switches, tumbling mats,  etc.)
6. Hand Sanitizing
  • Hand sanitizers will be provided in each studio, as well as in the lobby and waiting areas.
7. Temperature Checks
  • Temperature readings are required for all students and staff members upon entry. Anyone who has a temperature above 100.4° will be asked to leave. Again, please have dancers at the studio 5 minutes prior to class so everyone can get their temperature checked, as well as wash their hands.

Registration:  A non-refundable fee of $35 per student is required yearly at time of registration.  For multiple students from one family – only the first two children are charged.
Payment of Fees:  Tuition must be paid by automatic bank account debit, if at all possible.  Click here to see the dance class fees, and learn how to get discounts for multiple classes and/or multiple students within the same family.  Tuition is due by the first (1st) of each month and is paid by monthly automatic drafts from a bank account.  If a bank account isn’t made available, customers can pay by credit card by exception.  If you would prefer to pay in cash or check, we require three months advanced payment.  Accounts must be paid by the same method for all children on the account. Any accounts not paid in full by the 7th of the month are charged a $10 late fee. If payment is not received by the 15th of that month, a $20.00 late fee will apply.  If the tuition is more than 30 days late, the student may observe class but will be unable to participate until tuition is up to date.
RETURNED CHECKS:  Any checks for tuition, costumes, merchandise, other services and/or products provided by UDA that are returned are subject to a $35 charge.
The dance year begins in August, honoring the same major Holidays as the area County School Systems. Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of the number of classes in a month. Some months may have 3, 4, or 5 weeks; therefore, weeks are made up in other months and Tuition remains the same.
Recital Costume Fees:  Costume fees are non-refundable if a student withdraws from the school. It is assumed that all dancers will participate in the recital unless it is otherwise indicated in writing to the studio office.  If a students withdraws from recital after costumes have been ordered, the student will be provided the costume when it arrives (no refund will be given).
Extreme Weather or Unexpected Interruption of Classes:  If the school must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control such as power outages, the missed lessons will be added on to the end of the teaching year.  No refunds for lessons missed due to these reasons will be given.
Substitutions:  The school reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes.  If a teacher is ill and the school cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be made up
Cancelled Classes: The school reserves the right to cancel a class on the schedule if it falls below minimum enrollment (5 students). Students will have the opportunity to transfer to another appropriate class, if desired.
Refunds:  There is a two-month minimum for all lessons. One-month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any classes. Withdrawal must occur within the first 7 days of the month. No withdrawals will be accepted after April 1.  To withdraw from classes a parent or adult student must:
1.        Inform school administration in person.
2.        Complete and sign a Change Management Form (CMF) provided by the school office. All automatic bank debiting will stop after the one-month notice period.  United Dance Arts reserve the right to terminate lessons to any students without notice.  In such a case a refund for unused lessons will be given.
Dress Code:  Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes.  Failure to wear required dancewear to class could result in students being asked to sit out the class.  Repeated failure to wear required dancewear could result in termination of lessons.   For safety reasons dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry.  Long hair must be tied back. (See Dress Code page.)
Placement, Attendance and Lateness: UDA encourages you to register for class based on the age and experience of the dancer.  During the first four classes, the instructor will evaluate each dancer to make sure the class is appropriate in age, level, and attention span.   UDA teachers and staff reserve the right to place the dancer in the appropriate higher or lower UDA class level to ensure the closest match.
The school reserves the right to have students who come late to class, sit out the class.  Repeated lateness may result in termination of lessons.  If a student misses more than 4 classes without written notices, the school reserves the right to terminate lessons.  Students missing more than 4 classes after January will not be allowed to participate in the year-end dance recital, festivals or competitions.
Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events:  It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all school activities, such as viewing days, recitals, extra classes, and dates the school is open or closed.  Our primary means of notification is through  email.  If you don't have an active email address, PLEASE make us aware of this fact during registration!
Care of Students:  The school is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students.  Parents with students under the age of 5 are to remain in the school during classes.  Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time before or after class.
Injuries:  Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class time.
Photo Release:  The school is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the school creates.  Permission is also hereby granted for the school to copyright such photographs in its name.
Miscellaneous:  Parents and adult students are to be aware that the school promotes healthy body image among the students.  As such we approve if our teachers snack during the course of the teaching day.  Parents are to be aware that dancing as a profession is physically demanding and proper body care is essential.
