Performance Team Dance - Ask your instructor about Performance Classes to augment your technique classes !
My vision for UDA is to offer an environment for children and adults to attain affordable high-quality dance technique education without introducing destructive behaviors for instructors, coaches, parents or dancers. To do this and also offer an opportunity for our dancers to learn advanced performance and choreography skills, we will offer classes called “Performance Classes” that are focused on Choreography instead of technique in a certain genre.

- The Performance class can have a minimum of 5 dancers and a maximum of 12 dancers.
- The Performance Class will screen students for the appropriate skill level in the genre – akin to auditions or try-outs.
- Being admitted into the Performance Class may also require the dancer to enroll in additional technique class(es)
- The first 10 sessions of the class will be focused on teaching choreography, with the remaining sessions used for rehearsal.
- One set of choreography will culminate at the Holidance, with another routine starting after the holiday break and culminating in the Recital
- The Performance Classes will be highlighted in the Holi-dance and the Recital. These are the two primary performances for these classes.
- Costuming will be charged back to the dancers at the time charges are incurred.
- Competitions and Conventions – Each Performance Class has the option of participating in one competition or convention per year.
- Registration costs will be billed back to the student as incurred.
- A Performance Fee will also be assessed for each convention or competition covering the instructor's time and travel expenses
- Additional competitions/conventions may be attended with Studio Owner approval and 100% agree with all the dancers in the class.
- The focus on all activity at UDA will remain on education/training.
- We do not offer solos, duets, trios or private lessons.
