ANGELINA BALLERINA® DANCE ACADEMY PROGRAM
Successful International Dance Program Inspires Youngsters to Pursue Their Dancing Dreams
Valparaiso, IN – May 30th, 2013 – Angelina Ballerina®, the “little star with big dreams,” will soon be sharing her love of dance with children in Northwest Indiana. United Dance Arts is now an official Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy, and joins a growing network of over 110 studios across North America that offer weekly classes based on the beloved dancing mouseling, star of the Angelina Ballerina book series and animated television program. The 34-week program is inspired by the CG-animated series airing on PBS KIDS and Sprout®, Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps, and it will focus on one story book per month. Targeted at children ages three to six years old, the program teaches beginner ballet at two levels. The Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy curriculum was developed by dance education specialist Beverly Spell, master teacher and author of the Leap ‘N Learn program.
Angelina Ballerina’s voice will guide aspiring dancers through their movement lessons, and the program incorporates music from Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps, as well as custom music developed by Spell and composer Scott Killian. Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy in the U.S. and Canada was launched by HIT Entertainment, one of the world’s leading children’s entertainment producers, in partnership with AB Studio Licensing. The program already exists in the UK and Ireland, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Summer Camp Description
Your child will receive a quality dance education in a caring and fun environment, all based on the beloved Angelina Ballerina character. The Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy curriculum is designed by internationally renowned master teachers and child development experts. Your child will be inspired to pursue their dreams of dance, just like Angelina Ballerina!
This 5-day camp is designed to promote physical health, confidence, and creativity while teaching proper dance technique in Camp 1 for ages 3 - 4 1⁄2 and Camp 2 for ages 41⁄2 - 6. Promoting reading and literacy, this complete camp curriculum focuses on reading and studying the book, “Angelina's Perfect Party”. In addition, lessons in nutrition and creating a strong healthy body, educational activity sheets, and craft projects will create excitement among young dancers. |
