Ballet - Ballet is the foundation of all great dancers! This style of dance requires the most focus
and discipline. Beginning classes will incorporate some creative movement to allow students to
gradually work into ballet structure.
Jazz - Jazz style of dance is what is seen in many Broadway type shows such as “Cats”. It is a
more structured, stage style of dance. In contrast, Hip Hop is a fast, high energy type of dance
seen in music videos and commercials. Dance moves seen in performance by artists such as
Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and J Lo would be typical examples of Hip Hop.
Tap - Tap dance is popular nowadays in many parts of the world. The name comes from the
tapping sound made when the small metal plates on the dancer's shoes touch a hard floor. This
lively, rhythmic tapping makes the performer not just a dancer, but also a percussive musician
Acting / Musical Theatre - Our musical theatre program teaches stage dance. Enhance your
artistic ability and become a triple threat performer.
Hip Hop - A class designed to increase the students rhythmic and coordination skills. Students will

Lyrical - Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques. Lyrical dance challenges
choreographers and dancers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion. A lyrical
dancer's movements attempt to show the meaning of the music. Moreover, the dancer must be
well aware of facial expressions, essentially acting, to properly perform a lyrical dance piece.
Contemporary - Contemporary dance is the name given to a group of 20th century concert dance
forms. It is a collection of systems and methods developed from Modern and Postmodern dance.
Thus contemporary dance is not a specific dance technique. European, Canadian and American
contemporary dance differ from each other in a number of ways.

hand-stand rolls, etc. Classes will give boys a balance and coordination edge in sport activities,
